How to Survive a Bout with Cancer

Thursday June 1st, 2017

A healthy diet and exercise could reduce colon cancer patients’ chance of death and simply walking could improve survival rates for breast cancer survivors, studies have found.

A study of nearly 1,000 colon cancer patients found that those who exercised regularly, ate more fruits and vegetables and avoided refined grains and meats had a 42% lower chance of death after seven years.

Similarly, a study of more than 300 Australian breast cancer survivors who aimed to exercise for 180 minutes per week – most by simply walking – had far better rates of survival than those who were not part of an exercise program.

“Most of what we know about the importance of exercise post-cancer comes from studying women with breast cancer,” said Sandra Hayes, an epidemiologist studying cancer and exercise at Queensland University of Technology in Australia.

Studies conducted on the relationship between exercise and other types of cancer, she said, held up a general set of findings. “Engaging in some activity [or] exercise is better than none, and doing more is generally better than less,” Hayes said.

Researchers acknowledged that studies on the effects of exercise and cancer recurrence remain epidemiological, and that causal links are yet to be established. Further, the mechanisms through which exercise may influence cancer survival remain “unclear.” But the message of the studies is clear. More plant-based food and less or no animal food is the best way to survive cancer.

Researchers found that even colon cancer survivors while following the American Cancer Society guidelines of healthy eating and exercise patterns had a 42% lower chance of dying than those that did not.

“I would recommend that patients build up to exercising for at least 150 minutes per week,” said the senior author of one study, Erin Van Blarigan, an epidemiologist at University of California, San Francisco. “Brisk walking is a great exercise for everyone. I would also recommend that patients aim to eat at least five servings of vegetables every day, not counting potatoes, and choose whole grains over refined grains.”

Van Blarigan said she was surprised by the strong correlation between healthy diet, exercise and lowered mortality.

In a smaller study, Hayes and colleagues in Australia randomly assigned more than 300 breast cancer survivors to groups that received exercise counseling or to a control group. All patients were six weeks out of surgery, and lived in both rural and urban settings. The exercise program lasted eight months. The goal was to exercise 180 minutes per week. Most of the participants, researchers said, chose simply to walk.

After a median follow-up of roughly eight years, researchers found 5.3% of the women who had received exercise counseling had died, versus 11.5% of those who had not received counseling. Similarly, 12.1% of women in the group that received exercise counseling had a recurrence of cancer, versus 17.7% of those who did not. The researchers said an exercise program after treatment “has clear potential to influence survival.”

“Walking, in all cases where it is possible, is the best remedy for diseased bodies, because in this exercise all the organs of the body are brought into use. Many who depend upon the movement cure could accomplish more for themselves by muscular exercise than the movements can do for them. In some cases, want of exercise causes the bowels and muscles to become enfeebled and shrunken, and these organs that have become enfeebled for want of use will be strengthened by exercise. There is no exercise that can take the place of walking. By it the circulation of the blood is greatly improved.” Counsels on Health, page 200.

Illinois Forcing Foster Parents to Support Gender Transition or Lose Kids

Thursday June 29th, 2017 in

The state of Illinois’ social services policies now bar social workers from employment and foster families from caring for children if they refuse to facilitate a child’s gender transition. The state’s director of the Department of Children and Family Services approved “enhanced department procedures” that established “mandatory minimum standards for LGBTQ children under its authority.”

These state standards, reportedly drafted with the assistance of the ACLU, “will not tolerate exposing LGBTQ children and youth to staff/providers who are not supportive of children and youths’ right to self-determination of sexual/gender identity.”

“No matter that sexual difference is a scientific fact, or that billions of sane people across the world acknowledge it,” said Mary Rice Hasson, director of the Catholic Women’s Forum at The Ethics and Public Policy Center in Washington, D.C., noting that vulnerable children in the care of the state will not be entrusted to people who believe human beings cannot physically alter their sex.

What it ultimately amounts to is an “erasure of the human person,” said Meg Kilgannon, executive director of Concerned Parents and Educators. “If a government entity is set to be the ultimate arbiter of someone’s truth, being or existence, then at what point do parents get left out of the equation?” she asked.

In Illinois, according to the new policies, parents are already being left out in significant ways. “When a child is in state care, parents have no say in whether the child will receive puberty blockers or hormone treatments, as long as two physicians, or a physician and a counselor ‘who is culturally competent in transgender healthcare,’ sign off,” Hasson added, citing the new procedural guidelines. “If a child’s ‘permanency goal’ is to return home to the care of his parents, then the state will notify the parents that hormone therapy is being initiated, but parental permission is not required.”

Andrew Walker, director of policy studies for the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, noted that gender dysphoria was once viewed as an “ailment” linked with gender identity disorder. But activists have politicized the field of medicine making “what was once a pathology into an identity, a worldview, and a political virtue.”

The language of transgenderism is important since those who control the language have the power to frame the debate on ultimately false premises, Walker argues. Those new words assign meaning to new concepts and those concepts become unquestioned truths as society becomes more accustomed to their use over time. “So the label ‘transgender’ not only denotes the positive affirmation of a mental illness, it communicates a metaphysical fiction seeking acceptance and adoption throughout all channels of the culture,” Walker said.

The Illinois procedures also state that DCFS staff must “provide supportive and affirming care regardless of one’s personal attitudes, beliefs, preconceptions and/or judgments, if any, surrounding matters of sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. Top of FormShould anyone have difficulty with this they will be referred to an “LGBTQ coordinator,” who is granted significant authority governing the department’s internal affairs.

Terms like “discipline” and “discharge” are used to describe what could happen to an employee or volunteer who in any way allows his or her “personal beliefs [to] impact the way individual needs of children/youth or families are met.”

Kilgannon said she knows of several foster parent couples who are devout Christians that when applying to be foster parents were subjected to all kinds of bureaucratic “LGBTQ trainings” in an attempt to reeducate them about sexuality and gender identity that violated their core beliefs. But they kept their mouths shut, opting to tune it out lest they be denied the opportunity to foster a child.

“It almost means that only if you are a liberal secularist can you be in service of foster kids,” said Peter Sprigg, senior fellow for policy studies at the Family Research Council. “And, frankly, I don’t think there are enough liberal secularists who are interested in serving as foster parents and maintain the system. I think it is ultimately going to hurt them by driving potential foster parents out, a negative consequence by anyone’s standards.” The procedures Illinois has adopted are “completely ideological,” he added.

“[Activists] may claim it is scientific but the fact that engaging in homosexual and transgender sexual conduct, particularly as an adolescent, is associated with numerous negative mental and physical health consequences. It cannot possibly be a health-related requirement to have this,” Sprigg asserted.

“Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot.” Luke 17:28.

The Ultimate Deliverance

Monday June 19th, 2017

The push for a cashless society is aided and abetted by the maturing of biometric technology. India is one of the leaders in the field of adopting biometric techniques.

“On an average, people in India (9 per cent) are three times more likely than any other country (3 per cent) surveyed to have used ‘iris recognition’ to identify themselves,” said HSBC in a report. It said people in Asia and the Middle East are ahead of the West when it comes to the adoption of new technologies due to greater understanding and optimism leading to more trust.

The report was compiled from research representing views of 12,019 people from 11 countries and territories — Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Mexico, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, UK and the USA.

India has led the world in driving consumer adoption of the technology because the Indian government has strongly (and forcefully) supported biometric adoption.

Other Asian nations are also ahead of the West in adopting biometrics. The accelerated adoption of fingerprint recognition in the East, a widespread consumer technology, highlights the contrast between East and West. People in China (40 per cent) are the highest adopters of fingerprint technology, followed by India (31 per cent) and the UAE (25 per cent) among the countries surveyed. On the other hand, just 9 per cent of people in France and Germany, and 14 per cent in Canada have used fingerprint technology to identify themselves, the report noted.

“Consumers living in countries in the East seem to have a better understanding and greater trust of emerging technology, and how it can benefit their lives. The speed of change and the insatiable rate of adoption put the likes of India, China and the UAE leaps ahead of most Western markets,” HSBC India Head of Retail Banking and Wealth Management Ramakrishnan S said. In the case of India, a national mindset of openness coupled with government support for the roll out and promotion of new technology has had a transformative effect on the nation, he said.

The report revealed that Germany has the lowest adoption of smartphone or tablet banking with only 4 per cent claiming that phone banking is their preferred way of banking as compared to 9 per cent in Hong Kong and 15 per cent in the UAE.

Biotechnology is key to implementing a cashless environment, which will give banks and globalist institutions more power than ever. When it comes to enforcing a global religion, which the Bible predicts in Revelation 13, biometrics will be well-developed and a formidable tool in marginalizing those who refuse to obey worship laws.

“A refusal to obey the commandments of God, and a determination to cherish hatred against those who proclaim these commandments, leads to the most determined war on the part of the dragon, whose whole energies are brought to bear against the commandment-keeping people of God. “He causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: and that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” Revelation 13:16, 17. Approximately 58 people died (30 confirmed) in a towering inferno as one of London’s high-rise public housing blocks was gutted by fire. Theresa May, Britain’s prime minister, faced a barrage of criticism for the government’s initial response to the tragedy at Grenfell Tower.

May said that the government has begun distributing funds from a $6.4 million (USD) emergency fund created to assist victims of the blaze, and housing officials are conducting safety checks of other public high-rise towers in London. “I have heard the concerns and I have ordered immediate action across the board to help victims’ relatives and the survivors,” May said.

Protesters in London are demanding to know why long-standing fire safety concerns raised by a tenants’ group about the 24 story building, tucked in the city’s ritzy North Kensington neighborhood, had not been addressed. They also expressed anger that the prime minister did not meet with survivors or victims of the fire when she initially visited the neighborhood following the tragedy.

Commander Stuart Cundy, a spokesman for London’s Metropolitan Police, also said there may have been people in the tower that police are not aware of, which could add to the death toll. “The figure of 58 are those who are missing and that we have to presume are dead,” said Cundy. “It might be that some of those are safe and well but for whatever reason have not reached (out) to let us know. Cundy added that it will take weeks or longer to recover and identify all the dead in the housing block that was devastated. Police said 19 injured in the fire remain hospitalized, including 10 who were in critical condition.

“My heart goes out to those affected,” Cundy said. “As soon as we can, we will locate and recover loved ones.” Cundy said authorities plan to release video and photographs from inside the badly-charred building.

Investigators are trying to figure out why the fire spread so quickly to the top floors especially since the apartment complex underwent a $13 million refurbishment last year that included new thermal cladding to the exterior.

The Grenfell Action Group, the tenants’ organization, had expressed concerns for years about the testing and maintenance of firefighting equipment and blocked emergency access to the site. “All our warnings fell on deaf ears and we predicted that a catastrophe like this was inevitable,” the group said after the fire broke out, according to the Associated Press. In a blog post written last year, the Grenfell Action Group warned of “dangerous living conditions” in the tower. “It is a truly terrifying thought but the Grenfell Action Group firmly believe that only a catastrophic event will expose the ineptitude and incompetence of our landlord, the KCTMO.”

KCTMO, the Kensington and Chelsea Management Organization, has managed the building on behalf of local public authorities who own it. The management organization said it was aware of the complaints made by residents, but that it was “too early to speculate what caused the fire and contributed to its spread.”
Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip observed a moment of silence to honor the victims. They paid their respects before the start of the annual Trooping the Color procession that marks the observance of the queen’s birthday. The queen said in a statement that she was “profoundly struck by the immediate inclination of people throughout the country to offer comfort and support to those in desperate need.”

“Put to the test, the United Kingdom has been resolute in the face of adversity,” she added. “United in our sadness, we are equally determined, without fear or favor, to support all those rebuilding lives so horribly affected by injury and loss.”

“The conditions prevailing in society, and especially in the great cities of the nations, proclaim in thunder tones that the hour of God’s judgment is come and that the end of all things earthly is at hand. We are standing on the threshold of the crisis of the ages. In quick succession the judgments of God will follow one another—fire, and flood, and earthquake, with war and bloodshed. We are not to be surprised at this time by events both great and decisive; for the angel of mercy cannot remain much longer to shelter the impenitent.” Prophets and Kings, page 278.

“In this current situation the Diocese of Ahiara is without the bridegroom, has lost her fertility and cannot bear fruit … The Church is a mother and whoever offends her commits a mortal sin, it’s very serious … Therefore, I ask that every priest or ecclesiastic incardinated in the Diocese of Ahiara … write a letter addressed to me in which he asks for forgiveness; all must write individually and personally. We all must share this common sorrow. In the letter … 1. one must clearly manifest total obedience to the Pope … Maybe someone has been manipulated without having full awareness of the wound inflicted upon the ecclesial communion.” read more on the letter http://w2.vatican.va/content/francesco/en/speeches/2017/june/documents/papa-francesco_20170608_diocesi-ahiara.html

The pope and Papal Church is showing it’s true colours here! There is not one single person on earth who we are to show ‘total obedience’ to. And the only one we are to show total obedience to is God. But the true colours of the Papal Church is shown here, and just as prophecy declares in Revelation 13, the world will be forced on day soon to show ‘total obedience’ to the Papal beast and it’s image, or ‘suffer the consequences’.

The world is ‘wondering after the beast’, just as Revelation 13 prophesied. The ‘kings of the earth’ will one day soon give their power and authority over to the Roman Catholic Church as Revelation 17 prophesied. And then those of us who proclaim the truth, which “offends the mother church” will be seen as the enemy, and they will seek to kill us. But fear not brothers and sisters, as we have the one true God with us!

British Prime Minister Theresa May says human rights laws will be changed “if they get in the way” of the country’s fight against terror. May said she would seek to introduce longer prison terms for those convicted of terrorist offenses and make it easier to “deport foreign terrorist suspects.”

May has overseen cuts to police officer numbers by over 20,000 during her tenure as home secretary and is trying to shore up her domestic security credentials in the wake of criticism from the opposition party.

May has previously called for closer regulation of the Internet to tackle extremism and criticized social media firms for not doing enough to police their platforms. British security services already possess wide anti-terrorism powers that have been denounced by Amnesty International as among “the most draconian” in Europe.

Questions about how Khuram Butt and Youssef Zaghba got through the “net” since they were well-known to police and had been investigated have prompted calls to further erode human rights to deal with these kinds of threats. Butt, Zaghba and another man, Rachid Redouane, rammed a van into pedestrians on London Bridge before launching a stabbing spree in bars and restaurants at nearby Borough Market on Saturday night. At least seven people were killed and dozens were injured. The three terrorists were shot dead by police.

May said more needed to be done “to restrict the freedom and movement of terrorism suspects when we have enough evidence to know they are a threat but not enough evidence to prosecute them in full in court.”

As Home Secretary, May oversaw the replacement of control orders — sweeping powers introduced in 2005 that placed extreme limits on the freedom and movement of terrorism suspects — and their replacement with what some critics have described as “watered down” restrictions. But May has now said that it needed to be easier to kick terror suspects out of the UK.

The Liberty group’s director Martha Spurrier accused May of wanting to rip up British human rights laws. “If Theresa May does what she threatens, she will go down in history as the Prime Minister who handed terrorists their greatest victory,” she said. “For cheap political points and headlines, she is willing to undermine our democracy, our freedom and our rights — the very things these violent murderers seek to attack.”

Limiting human rights of unconvicted suspects to eliminate Muslim extremist threats will have implications for other religions too. If your Christian faith is ever considered extreme, which is very likely, your human rights will be curtailed too. Prophetically, terrorism is really about targeting western constitutions and removing the freedoms their citizens have enjoyed. Terrorism is the perfect tool in the hands of the enemy, to do this without much opposition.

We must work “while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” John 9:4.
