When the leading churches of the United States, uniting upon such points of doctrine as are held by them in common, shall influence the state to enforce their decrees and to sustain their institutions, then Protestant America will have formed an image of the Roman hierarchy, and the infliction of civil penalties upon dissenters will inevitably result. G Craige Lewis EX Ministries September 19, 2016 Error of Man

This is becoming more and more common. Many that are proclaiming Christ nowadays are denying him in public for the sake of fame and notoriety from the world. How can a person claim to be a follower of Christ but promote gender confusion and defend those that promote agendas against the bible? Steph Curry has a lot to learn and I pray that one day a pastor would be bold enough to truly share truth with him and show him how you cannot claim Christ and love the world at the same time. We cannot have it our way. Either we will follow Christ or we will follow the enemy. There is no in between. This bathroom equality agenda will corrupt his very daughter in the future and cause confusion in the lives of many that follow him. The fact that he is promoting this and standing up for the LGBT is sad. But the day of the carnal believer is here and many are falling away from the truth.

This one is simple. All Steph had to say was ” I believe in the equal treatment of all people, however, I define people as male and female. Therefore, I cannot side with the LGBT on this bathroom issue. Our bodies define our identity. I believe the bible and it clearly states that God made us male and female.” But instead, Steph Curry sided with the LGBT by saying the law should be changed to protect the financial interests of the organizations he is apart of?

2Tim. 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

2Tim. 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

bf9fcc89-5104-4eb2-82cf-8645fc548a57-large16x9_1280x960_60615p00fmlsh1The Huffington Post Reports: Stephen Curry is now a different kind of MVP ― most valuable protester.

The NBA superstar urged lawmakers from his home state of North Carolina to rethink the so-called “bathroom bill” that discriminates against the LGBT community.

The state has paid dearly for the HB2 legislation, losing the NBA All-Star Game in Charlotte, first- and second-round games of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament and other NCAA championship events.

The Atlantic Coast Conference also announced it was relocating its football championship from Charlotte, where Curry grew up.

I think it’s unfortunate for our city and our state to be under the microscope with HB2 and how it’s unfolded,” Curry said in an interview with The Associated Press, published Thursday. “I’m all for equal and fair rights and treatment for everybody. Until it gets addressed, until some changes are made, this could be a recurring theme in North Carolina. I don’t want that to happen.” Read More

Candy Crush, Farmville, Plants vs Zombies, Clash of Clans and Farm Heroes Saga. I think we probably all played at least one video game in our lives, and more likely a free game. I was addicted to the free Facebook game Farmville, playing it during classes at college. What is it that makes us love these simple free games, that usually seem to make no sense at all, but yet get us totally hooked?

It is probably safe to say that the most popular free mobile game is Candy Crush. Your goal: combining the same candy to get them crushed and reach the next level. Though Farmville on Facebook was extremely popular and had millions of faithful ‘farmers’ who would water their plants and feed their cows daily, Candy Crush soon became favorite. Apparently harvesting pixel fruit trees and feeding cartoon styled chickens wasn’t as exciting as crushing candy as quickly as possible.

Drugs and games

According to Swrve 0.15 percent of mobile gamers provide for 50 percent of the total income! We’re talking about free games here, but with in-game items for sale. For example, in Candy Crush you’ll often find yourself staring at your iPhone screen waiting for a new level to unlock. Game designers know this exactly what gets a gamer to take his credit card out. You were in the middle of the game, doing so well – as the game will often suggest you are, boosting your self confidence – but then you have to wait for the next level. A craving fills your heart, and you can bear it no longer: you end up paying for it.

Doesn’t this sound like a drug addict who cannot wait anymore and has to get his drugs? I don’t think it’s just coincidence that the damage done to the brain of a game addict and drug addict is very similar. Let’s think about it: would God ever want us to be slaves of drugs and theirfor slaves of sin and Satan?

Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And let your soul delight itself in abundance. Isaiah 55:2 NKJV For He satisfies the longing soul, And fills the hungry soul with goodness. Psalms 107:9 NKJV

“You did awesome!”

Then there is the dopamine hit. Did you ever notice how often in the game you are told you are doing absolutely awesome, wonderful, excellent and amazing? It is not that game designers are such good people and felt like complementing each gamer to make them feel good about themselves. They purposefully put this in there because they know that the brain reacts to such encouraging words.

When the game tells us we are doing well, when we level up or defeat another player, the brain’s reward system is flooded with dopamine: we feel happy. But over time our brain can’t produce as much domapine anymore. We don’t feel as satisfied, and, longing for that happiness, we reach for our phones again, hoping Candy Crush can fill our hearts with that satisfaction. We get addicted, plus we buy in-game items to level up hoping we will be satisfied again. Because of the low dopamine levels when not playing, depression, restlessness, difficulty focussing, mood swings and nausea can be the result.

Self-control gone missing

Next there’s ego depletion with which your willpower is reduced. You are more likely to fail at self-regulation, make indulgent choices, do what the majority does or not make any decision at all. Ron Faber, who co-authored a study on impulse purchases by Univesity of Minnesota, says in Getting Gamers: The Psychology of Video Games and Their Impact on the People (Jamie Madigan, PhD): “If playing a game requires concentration, you are using up attentional and cognitive resources. If it is exciting or scary, you may be using up emotional resources. In each case, this will make subsequent self-control more difficult.”

Self-control, isn’t that what God wants for us?

But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. II Peter 1:5-9 NKJV

And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness. Romans 6:18-19 NKJV

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. Galatians 5:13 KJV

Not able to choose to worship God

Besides the addiction and the loss of self control, gaming in itself is also very damaging for the brain. Victoria Dunckley, M.D. writes in Psychology Today that multiple studies show that gaming addiction causes shrinkage or loss of tissue volume in gray matter areas (where ‘processing’ occurs). Areas affected include the frontal lobe, the part of our brain we use, among other things, to choose to worship God.

Besides damaging the frontal lobe, each time you play a video game, the frontal lobe is suppressed, not making you capable to willfully choose God in that moment. Your seat of reasoning is not functioning properly. Now that should shock every sincere follower of Christ.

“Come now, and let us reason together,” Saith the Lord (…)
Isaiah 1:18 KJV

Free games might be free to download, but there is a high price we have to pay: our precious relationship with God and eternal life with Him. Christ wants to change and mold us and make us ready, but if we spend all our time playing video games, He cannot make us ready for His coming. Even though we play it only for a minute, what if that one minute had to be spent on Christ and was neccessary to hear Him say: well done good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of my lord (Matthew 25:23). Aren’t those words worth more than every dollar spent on a game in which you crush candy while you can’t reason? It only leaves us feel so dissatisfied and empty. Let us drink from the fountain of life, Christ Himself, Who will never leave us thirsty.

Like the woman at the well I was seeking, for things that did not satisfy. But then I heard my Savior speaking, draw from My well, that never shall run dry. Fill my cup Lord, I lift it up Lord. Come and quench this thirsting of my soul. Bread of heaven, feed me till I want no more. Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole. Hymn 493 Fill My Cup Lord

A more in-depth article on the effects of games on the brain is coming soon in a blog series called Media on the Brain. Be looking out for it, this will surely be mindblowing.

While same-sex marriage and other gay rights issues are getting themselves entrenched in American law and jurisprudence, transgenders are now the focus of the politically-correct left in the USA, as anyone willing to be honest would admit.

Now a second U.S. state has decided that churches, too, are bound by the agenda. The Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD) released a “Gender Identity Guidance” that imposes its demands on society, including churches.

“The Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination enforces [state law on discrimination]. The MCAD developed this guidance to educate the public about discrimination based on gender identity, to describe what evidence may be submitted to support a claim of gender identity discrimination, to inform individuals of their rights, and to assist employers, providers of housing, mortgage services, and owners, managers and agents of places of public accommodation in understanding their obligations.”

The conflict with churches arises under the instructions for “places of public accommodation.” “Under [the law] places of public accommodation may not discriminate against, or restrict a person from services because of that person’s gender identity. For example, a hotel or motel may not refuse to book a room for a person because of the person’s gender identity,” the guidance says. “Even a church could be seen as a place of public accommodation if it holds a secular event, such as a spaghetti supper, that is open to the general public.”

But churches often have public events to attract new members. The Massachusetts law seems to take aim at these events by following the Obama unofficial designation that religious freedom only applies to worship.

Even the use of pronouns referring to a transgender’s biological sex is prohibited by the guidance. One conservative blogger said, “Tolerating such remarks is generally seen as allowing a ‘hostile environment,’ and therefore ‘harassment.’ Indeed, the statement… specifically encourages people to ‘prohibit derogatory comments or jokes about transgender persons from employees, clients, vendors and any others, and promptly investigate and discipline persons who engage in discriminatory conduct’.”

Churches, it seems, could be held liable to punishment if they do not suppress their own congregant’s or worker’s expression that might be offensive to transgenders. Any ‘public accommodation’ can be “ordered not to say anything that might make a homosexual or a transgender feel ‘unwelcome,’ such as even reading from the Bible a condemnation of such behavior.”

“Churches should be free to communicate their religious beliefs and operate their houses of worship according to their faith without fearing government punishment,” said Christiana Holcomb, legal counsel for Alliance Defending Freedom. “It’s not good enough for government officials to say we should simply trust them to tell us what is religious and what isn’t. The law must be clear, and at present, the only thing that’s clear is that the law gives too much power to government bureaucrats who don’t even seem to understand the most basic constitutional principles.”

When the state identifies a church or some or all of its activities as a “public” accommodation, narrows the definition of a “bona fide religious purpose,” and tells a church what it can say and what it cannot say, it has crossed the constitutional line described in the first amendment.

In Iowa state, a similar commission also claims that state law demands that people be given access to church restrooms and locker rooms according to “gender identity.”

Religious freedom is more clearly than ever under attack by those pushing transgender rights. It is chipping away at the U.S. Constitution’s first amendment in its bill of rights. Gradually, but rapidly, every principle is being eroded until it will be completely repudiated. See Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 5, page 451.

Pope Credit Edgar Jiminez

(Breitbart) — In his message for the “World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation” Thursday, Jorge Bergoglio, who also goes by the name of “Pope Francis” as head of Roman Catholicism, said that human-induced global warming, as well as a loss of biodiversity are “sins” against God, which must be atoned for by planting trees, avoiding the use of plastic and paper and “separating refuse.”

“Global warming continues, due in part to human activity,” Francis said, adding that “2015 was the warmest year on record, and 2016 will likely be warmer still.”

“This is leading to ever more severe droughts, floods, fires and extreme weather events. Climate change is also contributing to the heart-rending refugee crisis. The world’s poor, though least responsible for climate change, are most vulnerable and already suffering its impact,” he wrote.

Global warming is a sin! The pope has now called on Christians and all people all over the world to take serious action to protect nature through his new encyclical. But it is actually the Papacy that is leading the world in rejection of God’s law and thereby increasing the withdrawal of God’s blessings and protection. Rome’s pious appeals for the protection of creation just masks Satan’s aims to eventually blame God’s people for the disasters. In the name of God, rejection of His holy law will become universal under Rome’s leadership. Satan will be given permission to greatly increase the damage caused by the destruction of nature and Rome and others will say that it is God’s judgments that are being poured out. They will point to God’s people who keep His law, especially His seventh-day Sabbath, as the cause of God’s. As world leaders work to gradually bring about global changes that will make all people less free, particularly less free to follow their conscience, we must be making every effort to come into line with Jesus Christ. We must be making every effort to live his love through obedience to His law. May God’s peace be with you my friends, as we seek to know and do His will.

Two distinguished scholars at Johns Hopkins University have released a lengthy, three-part report that concludes there is not sufficient evidence to prove homosexuals and transgenders are born in that condition. In other words, there is no “gay gene.”

“The understanding of sexual orientation as an innate, biologically fixed property of human beings – the idea that people are ‘born that way’ – is not supported by scientific evidence,” says the executive summary.

“The hypothesis that gender identity is an innate, fixed property of human beings that is independent of biological sex – that a person might be ‘a man trapped in a woman’s body’ or ‘a woman trapped in a man’s body’ – is not supported by scientific evidence,” it adds.

Melonie Wood, of the Heritage Foundation, points out that the report is based on science, not politics, hence the scholars don’t have a political point of view.

The study also recognizes a corollary between same-gender attraction and sexual abuse as a child, and that gender identity is fluid which suggests that homosexuals can change.

“I think the evidence is becoming so overwhelming that there is no gay gene that even liberal-minded academics are forced to concede this point,” says Peter LaBarbara of Americans for Truth about Homosexuality. “The homosexual lobby and a lot of people in it banked on the gay gene theory to win sympathy. It worked … but the evidence continues to mount against that theory.”
