A NEW SERIES in response to The Pope & Tony Palmer’s call for unity between Catholicism & Protestantism.

Text @(417) 693-6995

“Catholics are in power this Easter,” said the Sydney Morning Herald. The highest percentage of Roman Catholics ever is at the highest

levels of power in Australia. Beside the Prime Minister Tony Abbott, seven of his cabinet is Roman Catholic including the treasurer, finance, trade, communications, education, agriculture and social services ministers. This represents nearly double the proportion of Catholics in the general population. Almost all are Jesuit trained, which might partly explain why they are so out of proportion to the general population.

None of the cabinet members admits to being atheist, though almost a quarter of the general population says they have no religion.

“The Catholicisation of the Coalition has been a trend in Australia over the past several decades, said John Warhurst, an expert in religion and politics at the Australian National University.”

Asked whether the Abbott government was the most powerful coalition of Catholics assembled in Australia, Professor Warhurst said: ‘‘I don’t think there’s any doubt about it. Many of the same [Catholic ministers] were in the Howard cabinet . . . but they didn’t enjoy the level of influence they have now.’‘

Over the years Catholics have migrated from the Labor Party to the Democratic Labor Party and then to the Liberals. While Catholics have become wealthier in Australia, Labor has become more secular making it less appealing to socially conservative voters. “The most striking example of the trend was during the 2009 Liberal leadership contest, in which all three contenders – Mr. Abbott, Malcolm Turnbull and Joe Hockey – consulted with Jesuit priests.”

Some experts speculate that the Liberal party has become more conservative, a rather interesting development. This would impact issues like same-sex marriage and euthanasia by increasing opposition to them. Rome greatly values public service because it puts the church in a powerful position to guide the nation in harmony with her agenda. Rome has always sought for political power. She has not changed and the work of the Jesuits in Australia has now born amazing fruit.

Here is part of the Jesuit Oath.

I do further promise and declare, that I will have no opinion

or will of my own, or any mental reservation whatever, even

as a corpse or cadaver, but will unhesitatingly obey each

and every command that I may receive from my superiors in

the Militia of the Pope… I furthermore promise and declare

that I will, when opportunity presents, make and wage

relentless war, secretly or openly, against all heretics,

Protestants and Liberals, as I am directed to do, to extirpate

and exterminate them from the face of the whole earth; and

that I will spare neither age, sex or condition; and that I will

hang, burn, waste, boil, flay, strangle and bury alive these

infamous heretics, rip up the stomachs and the wombs of

their women and crush their infants heads against the walls,

in order to annihilate forever their execrable race. That when

the same cannot be done openly, I will secretly use the

poisoned cup, the strangulating cord, the steel of the poniard

or the leaden bullet, regardless of the honor, rank, dignity, or

authority of the person or persons, whatever may be their

condition in life, either public or private, as I at any time may

be directed so to do by any agent of the Pope or Superior of

the Brotherhood of the Holy Faith, of the Society of Jesus. —

To think that a person would concur with such an abominable oath

defies reason. One could not even imagine a more despicable oath. The

word heretic in the above quote refers to anyone who disagrees with

the pope.

But the Bible indicates that he is alive today! The Bible prophecies teach this antichrist power will play a crucial role in the final events of earth’s history. Do you know who he is? Are you sure? Every marriage must rely on trust – and likewise in our union with Christ, we must remain faithful to Him and His Word. Revelation speaks about the true bride of Christ, but there is another woman who is trying to seduce believers away from God’s Word. Revelation contains a shocking message about Babylon, the other woman. Babylon is fallen, and Christ’s people must escape her charms or perish! Thu…

Blood Moon or Red Ruse?

Blood Moon or Red Ruse?

It’s been called a rare celestial event that signals the onset of apocalyptic events to occur in the literal nation of Israel. How are we to understand Jesus’ end-time predictions about the heavens?

“The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord” (Acts 2:20).

During the early morning hours of April 15, 2014, the first of four total eclipses of the moon occurred and was visible in the Americas. Astronomers call this a “lunar tetrad” and define it as “four successive total lunar eclipses, with no partial lunar eclipses in between, each of which is separated from the other by six lunar months (six full moons).”[1] When the earth falls directly between the sun and moon, the light from the sun that passes through the earth’s atmosphere creates a coppery-red hue of the moon.

Recently, some Christian pastors and writers have pointed to this upcoming lunar tetrad as fulfillments of Bible prophecy. One televangelist, pastor of the Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas, John Hagee, has popularized this view in his best-selling book, Four Blood Moons: Something Is About to Change. He predicts that these “lunar eclipses foreshadow a world-shaking event” that will originate in the Middle East between April 2014 and October 2015. [2]

Based on a popular but errant view that focuses on the literal nation of Israel, Hagee and author Mark Biltz believe these events are unusual, though many astronomers disagree. Their efforts to line up historical events in Palestine with previous lunar tetrads are shaky. Regardless of these details, the foundations on which their interpretations are based find no basis in the principles of understanding prophecy as outlined in the Bible itself.

According to the New Testament, there are two Israels. One group is composed of the literal nation of Israel “according to the flesh” (Romans 9:3, 4) and the other is “spiritual Israel,” composed of anyone who believes in Jesus Christ. Paul writes: “They are not all Israel, which are of Israel” (Romans 9:6). Though it is tantalizing to peer at the Middle East with one finger on a Bible verse, the New Testament writers were very clear about focusing our attention on the new Israel, the body of Christ (see 1 Peter 2:5).

Does this mean we ignore this prediction Christ gave regarding His soon coming? Certainly not! We find an outline of sequential events that indeed might have already taken place. “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken” (Matthew 24:29). Some Bible scholars believe this passage was at least partially fulfilled on May 19, 1780, when a “supernatural darkness” covered certain parts of the United States. Reports indicated that the moon had the appearance of being red like blood. These events occurred at the end of a great prophetic time period and will occur again in the future (see Revelation 6:12, 13).

The phenomena in the sky is not to direct our attention to literal Israel, but to prepare our hearts to become part of spiritual Israel, God’s true people from every nation on earth who are ready for Jesus’ soon return.

Floribeth Mora, the Costa Rican woman whose inexplicable curing of her medical condition has been attributed to a miracle by Pope John Paul II, shows a magazine of John Paul during a news conference.

Floribeth Mora claims her inoperable brain aneurysm disappeared after Pope John Paul II intervened. The Costa Rican woman says she heard a photo of the former pontiff saying ‘Don’t be afraid.’

TRES RIOS, Costa Rica — On a warm spring day, Floribeth Mora was in her bed waiting to die from a seemingly inoperable brain aneurysm when her gaze fell upon a photograph of Pope John Paul II in a newspaper.

“Stand up,” Mora recalls the image of the pope saying to her. “Don’t be afraid.”

Mora, her doctors and the Catholic Church say her aneurysm disappeared that day in a miracle that cleared the way for the late pope to be declared a saint on April 27 in a ceremony at the Vatican where Mora will be a guest of honor.

For Mora, the church-certified miracle was only the start of her metamorphosis from an ill and desperate woman into an adored symbol of faith for thousands of Costa Ricans and Catholics around the world.

Mora, 50, has been greeting a stream of local and international visitors in her modest home in a middle-class neighborhood outside the Costa Rican capital, and accepts invitations to as many as four Masses a day. The faithful have given her so many letters to deliver to current pontiff Pope Francis that she has had to buy an extra suitcase.

Mora has suspended her late-in-life law studies and much of her work for her family security business to dedicate herself full-time to her role as a symbol of faith for many in Costa Rica.

“With all of this going on I appreciate having my own business, because if I had a boss, they would have already fired me for missing so much work,” she joked.

She says she ignores skeptics who doubt she was really healed.

“Everyone can think what they want,” she told The Associated Press during a visit to her home. “What I know is that I am healthy.”

Mora was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm and sent home to rest and take pain medication in April 2011 after doctors said the problem was inoperable. Mora, who thought she was simply returning home to await death, looked at the image of John Paul on May 1, the day of John Paul’s beatification six years after his death.

Then, she says, it spoke to her.

She surprised her family by walking around, and, after her doctors declared her healed, word spread quickly to the local church, and from there to the Vatican.

Today, Mora says speaking about her experience has become her calling.

“I’ve got so much to do that I’m going to dedicate myself above all to telling the world the story of God’s greatness and what it’s done for me,” she said.

She says people sometimes ask whether the experience was somehow imagined, or the result of mental illness.

“I have no reason to doubt what I am. I am healthy and that’s the most important thing,” said Mora, the daughter of a shoemaker and a seamstress, born in a tough neighborhood south of San Jose.

Grandchildren run through the narrow halls of the home she shares with her husband, a retired police officer. Images of John Paul, the infant Jesus and the Virgin Mary look down from the walls of virtually every room.

The back garden smells of the oregano and rosemary she grows for cooking, and is shared by a pair of roosters, three rabbits and some ducks. Her 15-year-old son, the youngest of three, tells her off occasionally for attending so many Masses.

“I have to be there,” she said.

Mora is often overwhelmed by the petitions for prayer the faithful ask her to take to Francis.

“I have to buy a special suitcase for those letters, because some of them are big packages,” she said. Mora said she is filled with excitement for meeting the pope, whom she admires for his humility and the changes he’s made in the church.

While she looks tired, she says she feels great, and none of the symptoms that she felt brought her to the brink of death three years ago have returned. She has no doubt that she owes her life to John Paul.

“It’s important for them to name him a saint, but for me he’s already a saint,” she said. “I never imagined I would become a part of all of this.” The Bible is very clear that Satan will be working his miracles here on earth He convinced: one-third of the angels (Revelation 12:3-9); Adam and Eve (Genesis 3); all but eight people in Noah’s day (1 Peter 3:20). He will make the lost feel saved (Matthew 7:21-23). Almost the entire world will follow him (Revelation 13:3). Few will be saved (Matthew 7:14; 22:14). Satan’s end-time deceptive power will be so great that almost the entire world will follow him. His deceptive power will be so great that our only safety will lie in refusing to go to see him (Matthew 24:23-26). If you absolutely refuse to look and listen, Jesus will protect you from deception (John 10:29). God’s word says that the dead know not anything ! The Bible Says After death a person: returns to dust (Psalms 104:29), knows nothing (Ecclesiastes 9:5), possesses no mental powers (Psalms 146:4), has nothing to do with anything on earth (Ecclesiastes 9:6), does not live (2 Kings 20:1), waits in the grave (Job 17:13), and continues not (Job 14:1, 2).  Satan invented the teaching that the dead are alive. Reincarnation, channeling, communication with spirits, spirit worship, and the “undying soul” are all inventions of Satan, with one aim to convince people that when you die you are not really dead. When people believe that the dead are alive, “spirits of devils, working miracles” (Revelation 16:14) and posing as spirits of the dead will be able to deceive and lead them astray virtually 100 percent of the time (Matthew 24:24). May the Lord help us  and study this very important subject please do it for yourself.

Death just might be one of the most misunderstood subjects today. To many it is enshrouded in mystery and evokes dreaded feelings of fear, uncertainty, and even hopelessness. Others believe that their deceased loved ones are not dead at all, but instead live with them or in other realms! Still others are confused about the relationship between the body, spirit, and soul. But does it really matte…
